Our Team

CASS Family Day Care is  a service which provides professional child care services in the comfort of a home environment. It has a Coordination Unit staffed by experienced and qualified professionals who have qualifications in Bachelor of Teaching and Diploma in Children’s Services. All our staff members have over 10 years of experience working in child care centre and family day care settings. We support the provision of quality education and care by:

 

  • recruiting and monitoring educators and  providing them with training, support and resources;

  • making regular visits to the educators' homes to ensure children are provided with the best quality education and care possible

  • giving the educators the best possible support and training so they can provide a wide variety of educational experiences to meet children’s interests and developmental needs

  • ensuring the educators comply with the National Regulations and the National Quality Standards are being practiced;

  • having an Educational Leader who is experienced and holds a Bachelor of Teaching qualification to lead the development and implementation of educational programs in the service.

Mei Chen

Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education), Associate Diploma  of Social Science (Child Studies), TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

 

Mei has more than 30 years of experience in working with children and families in long day care, family day care and high school (China). She has extensive experience in teaching, training and management within the field of education.  Mei believes that educational program and children’s well-being together with collaborative relationships with families to ensure the provision of optimum opportunities for young children to realize their full potential and nurture the development of life skills.

Fanny Wong

Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education), Diploma in Children’s Services,  Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

 

Fanny has been a Child Development Officer since 2005. She believes a caring and responsive environment is essential for supporting a child's physical, emotional and intellectual development. She works in partnership with educators and families to create a learning environment where children feel safe and secure, while motivating children to expand their learning opportunities. Furthermore, Fanny pursues professional development opportunities continuously through attending relevant trainings and conferences.

Wei Shi

Family Day Care Coordinator

Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education), Diploma in Community Services (Children’s Services) and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

 

Wei has over 12 years extensive experience in the Early Childhood field, working across a range of roles. Wei is responsible for providing professional support and monitoring Registered Educators in proper implementation of their duties and responsibilities. Wei is also responsible for organizing and providing training to both registered and potential educators and ensuring quality practices are delivered to the children and families. She believes it is important to acknowledge the uniqueness and potential of all children, recognize their enjoyment from all perspectives, and respect the uniqueness of each family and strive to learn about their culture, structure, lifestyle, customs, language and beliefs.

Pearl Zang

Family Day Care Coordinator

Diploma in Community Services (Children’s Services)

 

Pearl has more than 9 years experience in working with children in Long Day Care and 18 years experience in teaching primary school students in China. She believes it is important to build up trust relationship with educators and families, and she hopes to provide efficient and convenient services for families and educators on her daily work.

Lily Leahy

Administration Officer

Diploma in Children's Services (Early Childhood Teaching in China), Certificate in Family Day Care

 

Lily has over six years of experience working as an administration officer in CASS Family Day Care. Formerly, a kindergarten teacher in China, she has more than ten years of experience working with children, and she has worked as a Child Development Officer at CASS Family Day Care for six years.

 

She is responsible for CCB payment and attendance records, enrolment and placement arrangement. She understands the needs of children and parents, as well as educator’s. It is a tremendous advantage to have an administration officer with the experience she has.
