Our Team

CASS Family Day Care is a service that provides professional child care services in the comfort of a home environment. It has a Coordination Unit staffed by experienced and qualified professionals who have qualifications in Bachelor of Teaching and a Diploma in Children’s Services. All our staff members have many years of experience working in child care centres and family day care settings. We support the provision of quality education and care by:
  • recruiting and monitoring educators and  providing them with training, support and resources;

  • making regular visits to the educators' homes to ensure children are provided with the best quality education and care possible
  • giving the educators the best possible support and training so they can provide a wide variety of educational experiences to meet children’s interests and developmental needs
  • ensuring the educators comply with the National Regulations and the National Quality Standards are being practiced;
  • having an Educational Leader who is experienced and holds a Bachelor of Teaching qualification to lead the development and implementation of educational programs in the service.

Dorothy Hung

 

General Manager, CASS Child Care Services/Vocation & Training Services

Masters of Arts (Social Work & Social Policy), Bachelor of Arts (Welfare Studies)

 

Dorothy is responsible for the overall management of CASS Child Care Services including CASS Gumnut Early Learning Centres, Out of School Hours Care, Family Day Care and other parent support services. She has over 20 years of extensive experience in the for-profit and not for profit sectors, working in areas as diverse as aged and disability services, education, marketing and manufacturing.

Prior to joining the CASS Child Care Services Team, she was managing the Services Development and Promotions Team where she implemented strategies in promoting the various child care services. With her passion for serving the community and extensive experience in training and management, she will ensure those we serve are well supported, their voices are being heard and the team will continue to provide quality services.  Dorothy believes children are our future and it is committed to helping them grow!

Wei Shi

Wei has over 20 years extensive experience in the Early Childhood field, working across a range of roles. Wei is responsible for providing professional support and monitoring Registered Educators in proper implementation of their duties and responsibilities. Wei is also responsible for organizing and providing training to both registered and potential educators and ensuring quality practices are delivered to the children and families. She believes it is important to acknowledge the uniqueness and potential of all children, recognize their enjoyment from all perspectives, and respect the uniqueness of each family and strive to learn about their culture, structure, lifestyle, customs, language and beliefs.

Fanny Wong

Team Leader and Nominated Supervisor

Fanny has been worked in Family Day Care industry for more than 18 years and as a nominated supervisor since 2016. She has experience in recruiting and providing professional training to educators. She also provide ongoing support to the educators and ensure high quality practices are delivered to the children and families through close monitoring of the services. She believes a caring and responsive environment is essential for supporting a child's physical, emotional and intellectual development. She works in partnership with educators and families to create a learning environment where children feel safe and secure, while motivating children to expand their learning opportunities. Furthermore, Fanny pursues professional development opportunities continuously through attending relevant trainings and conferences.

Pearl has over 6 years of experience in Family Day Care, 15 years of experience working with children in Long Day Care, and 18 years of experience teaching primary school students in China. She believes it is important to build trust relationships with educators and families, and she aims to provide efficient and convenient services for them in her daily work.

Anna has over 9 years of experience working in family day care and long day care settings. She believes that play is the most valuable tool for learning. By creating an engaging and play-based learning environment, Anna aims to support and provide a safe, creative, imaginative, and educational space for children and families. As a family day care coordinator, it is her educational and practical philosophy to support educators, children, and families in achieving their goals.

Administrative Assistant

Advanced Diploma in Accounting

 

Wendy has more than 3 years experience in accounting industry. In addition, she has previously worked in a childcare relate industry. Wendy originates from China and can communicate in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. With her experiences and positive attitude, she is committed to continue to provide quality services to our families and educators.
